Red River: Music

April Days

(Red River)
Music & Lyrics by Michelle Anderson; Arranged & Produced by David Anderson; All Instrumentation by David Anderson

The radio streams

And punctuates this white void

I twirl a pencil in the air

Fluorescent thoughts

I swear will drive you crazy

I think I’m already there

April Days never used to be

As long as they seem now

When heels weren’t the standard

Classic way to be seen now

Be careful what you wish for

The truth ain’t the same as the dream

The sun teases me

From outside this sterile window

It only deepens my despair

As Lightfoot sings

He offers his dire warning

And tells me that I’d better take care

April Days never used to be

As long as they seem now

When heels weren’t the standard

Classic way to be seen now

Be careful what you wish for

The truth ain’t the same as the dream

April Days

I miss those innocent days

When I didn’t know then

What I know now

Life seems to go on and on

And on
